Why add the complexity of other streaming media formats, when you can provide the same functionality by using Flash video.
In keeping with our philosophy of Create Once, Publish Everywhere (COPE), a video or animation can be repurposed for other media (i.e., CD-ROM) with little to no modification. Since the majority of web users are currently using the Flash plug-in, additional plug-ins for the user to download are not required.
