Learning Selections From The Joes
Joe The Painter
Scenario: Once Joe The Builder finish his part of the building construction (e.g., creating walls), he hands it off to Joe The Painter to paint it. Unlike Joe the Builder which used "mechanical" tools to create a selection, Joe the Painter use bitmap tools (e.g., mainly the brush or eraser tool) to PAINT or ERASE any imperfections.
Joe The Painter uses BITMAP PAINTING TOOLS on Quick Masks to create selections:
Major tools of the trade: BRUSH/ERASER
Brush ( 
) or Eraser ( 
) Tools – with a selection made and the Quick Mask mode turned on, the brush or eraser tool can be used to paint or erase with black, white or gray on the Quick Mask and then when the Quick Mask is turned off by pressing the Q key the "updated"
selection can be seen.
