To create Quizzes, Surveys, or Interactive Hotspot, you need to use the Smart Player.
Smart Player
Videos with the following must use Camtasia Smart Player:
Quizzes
Surveys

Hot spots
There are three ways to use the Smart Player:
Upload video to Screencast.com or TechSmith Relay.
Host the video on a website and upload the Smart Player.
Use a SCORM package to an LMS with Smart Player uploaded.
Interactive Hotspots
Interactive hotspots can be applied to visual objects (e.g., videos, images, text, and invisible annotations) to make those object clickables like links with customizable actions. To create an interactive hotspot:
Select the Visual Effects tab and drag-and-drop the Interactive Hotspot Effect to an image, text, annotation, or video. NOTE: The Interactive Hotspot must be on the TOP track to work correctly. (VERIFY IS STILL TRUE)
In the Properties panel, adjust the settings to your liking (e.g., go to a website, go to a marker in the video, specific time in video or click to click to Continue)
Move the CTI to where you want the hotspot to start, and then click the Current Position button to enter the current timestamp.
Click the Test button to test the interactive hotspot.
Videos with hotspots, like Quizzes and Surveys, must be viewed with a Smart Player. (See section on Smart Players)
The interactivity effect will allow you to add a quiz to a video but must be hosted by Screencast or with the Screencast player.
Interactive hotspots allows you to add a link but will not work with YouTube.
You can add an Interactive Hotspot to:
create links to other markers along the timeline
create links to a URLs that can then be shared as a web page or by TechSmith’s Screencast (http://www.screencast.com).
This process is typically done by using a text callout or image and then dragging an Interactive Hotspot effect onto it and then assign it a marker or URL in the Properties panel. Make sure that you select Export as web page when you Share your project.

You can add a TOC, but it has to be exported with the SmartPlayer because it is interactive.
Add a marker for each new topic (SHIFT+M) in your video and edit their names in the Property panel.
Export the video as an MP4 (SmartPlayer) option and then click the Options tab and ensure that the TOC is selected and select Searchable as an option
Click the Next button several times and save the video.
